AVOYELLES PARISH, La. - Residents in Avoyelles Parish are still recovering from the tremendous amounts of rainfall that came from Tropical Storm Arthur. Arthur left homes, businesses, and roads flooded, especially in South Avoyelles. Now, residents are left picking up the pieces of what used to be their home. Many disaster relief organizations have docked in Avoyelles, with Samaritan's Purse, Hope Bright, and South Texas Baptist Convention being just a few.
Along with that, communities like Dupont arestill flooding due to the water having nowhere to drain. If you have recieved flood damage and still have yet to report it, quickly open damage.la.gov and report your damage.
